12 Degrees

Nautical dawn occurs when the Sun is 12 degrees below the horizon during the morning and nautical dusk occurs when the Sun goes 12 degrees below the horizon in the evening. All the photos from this project were made during dawns and dusks at Raglan Town and Surroundings. This project intend to investigate the silence of dawn and dusk, but also amplify the power of colours in gradients in the dark. Furthermore, these hours of the day mark the beginning and end of each day, twilight is used to refer to the end of life and dawn refers to the beginning of life, opposites, it seems to have a similar power and gives us the opportunity to rethink about our daily birth and death.
